Switching Blackberry between Carriers

I have a Blackberry Pearl, and I was on Vodafone. After the mess last week to move me from Vodafone to O2, I turned to the next task: Getting my e-mail back on my Blackberry.

It's worth noting, that it's not a matter of just logging into your blackberry internet service account and doing it there.

No, I had to ring Vodafone, get them to cancel my account entirely, specifically for my Blackberry, and then re-register via O2's Blackberry Internet Service portal.

I think, I could also have de-authorised my blackberry on my Vodafone account before I cancelled my Vodafone contract, but I didn't know that at the time!

Also, I'm running the latest 4.5 OS from Blackberry. It's not officially supported yet, but it's nice, and apparently it supports HTML mail, which I haven't tested yet though.

I've also just installed Google Maps for my Pearl, and it will find your location based on the cell towers around you, relatively accurately. It's worth trying it out.

The last new program for my pearl is Google Sync, this synchronises my default Google Calendar with my Blackberry Calendar, that's a two-way sync by the way, so updates on my blackberry propogate to my Google calendar... now that's handy!
