The iPad

After watching the information stream in from the Apple Keynote this evening (my local time is evening!), I started thinking about my use-cases for the iPad, and while I can think of times when it would be nice, like sitting at the TV and doing some surfing, or reading the news in the morning at breakfast. But I can already do that on my laptop, and anything I do on there I can bring with me in the morning without having to do any sync before I head out.

To my mind, it's a big iPod Touch.

Don't get me wrong, it looks really nice, and I want to play with one, and the early-adopter in me wants to have one regardless of my issues above, but I would have to have the 64GB one, so forget about the $499 price tag. At least there is no 'Apple premium' on the top end model.
